"I believe the artists and the arts are God’s creation – divine gifts that add some balance, offer some relief to the troubles of the day, and bring us joy!

In that the arts have been virtually removed from the schools for lack of funding, The League is advocating and working to restore the arts in our schools, and helping the arts not only survive but thrive in our community for future generations."

Carol Hall
President, The League of Allied Arts

Welcome

We thank you for visiting our website and invite you to do so often. A frequently-updated arts calendar is coming soon; send us upcoming arts events for posting (advertising opportunities will also exist).

Therefore plan to visit our site often. Find out about upcoming League events and other arts events in the Los Angeles African American community and/or events featuring works by/or about African American artists.

Consider The League website also as an arts resource- the place to find out about and “link” to arts locations, seminars and workshops, tours, instructors, lessons, academies and conservatories- especially for our children.

This fall we will provide information about The League scholarships for African American, high school seniors and college freshmen, arts students- spring deadline and 64th Annual League Scholarship Awards in June 2008.

Finally our website will provide information on how to contact us to support The League and donate to the Scholarship Fund. The League is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Together we must help the arts survive and thrive for future generations.
